I love M’Lady!

M’Lady is a new line of princess-themed bags by the bubbly sweetheart, Jiandra Alda. Her sweetness is reflected in all of her designs, and I consider myself lucky to have been her very first customer! T’was super lucky that she released her first batch of bags right after my birthday, which meant I had some funds to spare. ♥ 

Love, love, love the feminine feel to this bag. It’s also functional, mind you, and it’s taken a bit of abuse from me. While Jiandra has advised against carrying heavier things in this bag, I decided to put it to a test. I think I’ve carried up to 10 pounds of stuff in this bag for short periods of time. It’s gone through malls, thrift shops (bumped into a couple of racks, too!), and I’ve even ridden public transportation with it. If you know what public transport is like in the Philippines, then you know what this bag has gone through. XD

V is taking 2013 head on and is going to do some great things that matter to her. It’d be great if you could do me a personal solid and give her some votes. She’s a bit behind at the moment but I’m confident she can grab a few more votes to make into the the Top 20. I feel she’s a strong candidate as she not only can wear and model clothes well, but she also knows what hair and wig styles go with what, creating her own signature look. As evidenced above.

I’m Vanessa, and I love dressing up. I’m a cosplayer, a lolita, and a frustrated girly-girl.

Hello there! Some of you may have noticed that I’m not actively posting here anymore. </3 It’s because I haven’t dressed up in loli in a while. It’s impractical in my line of work, and I don’t get to go out much anymore. :(

That being said, I still do dress up, just not in lolita. If you’re still interested in following my fashion and cosplay misadventures, then please follow VanDressed, my new dress-up blog. 

What can you expect from VanDressed? OOTDs, cosplays, makeup and wig styling tutorials, and some crafts posts. I’ll also be posting WIPs of my propwork, costumes, and clothes. Pretty much everything I do here, except it’s no longer limited to lolita.

I will still post here on occasion, but I’ll definitely be spending more time over there.

The last few weeks have been pure insanity.

And I wouldn’t have it any other way. For now, here’s a picture of me and my friends goofing off. 

I’ll be getting around to doing lolita shoots soon, so stay tuned for those! I have to re-shoot my wig styling video because the video file got corrupted during file transfer. ; A ;

I’m also planning to do a mini-series of blog entries about people who inspire me, fashion-wise! Some of them will not be lolitas, but they’re still pretty awesome. I’ll be starting on those soon. :D

I’M STILL ALIVE 8D

Sorry for being so inactive lately, schoolwork pretty much took over my life. But lookie! Here’s a sneak peek at my newest video project! ♥ This is a quickie tutorial on how to re-curl your wigs without “hurting” them as much. :P 

It’s been a while since I shot anything, and this’ll take a while to edit and upload, but I’ll definitely update here when it’s uploaded! :D

It’s been a while.

I haven’t had the chance to wear lolita for a bit, since the weather here’s crazy. Raining one moment, then ridiculously hot the next. 

I’ll be downsizing my lolita wardrobe to make way for my renewed love for ball-jointed dolls (BJDs), so watch out for my closet sale post? :D

My First Lolita Meet

Your “firsts”can happen at any point in your life. I’ve been wearing lolita for about 1.5 years now, and this is the first time I have been able to attend our local meet. Pretty late, but better than never? :P I’d like to thank my waifu, Caz (seated, beside me in front), for organizing this one. I enjoyed talking to the other girls face-to-face, and everyone dressed well. :D

My outfit was inspired by more old-school sweet this time, back when prints weren’t all the rage. I think it turned out okay, though I’m sure someone out there will bash me for wearing the infamous maxi-pad headdress and fingerless lace gloves. XD

A month or so ago, GLW announced that I’d gotten into the top 10 for their Spokesmodel Search, and I was ridiculously happy. :D I love their wigs, and as you can see, I wear them a lot, not just for photoshoots.
