Your “firsts”can happen at any point in your life. I’ve been wearing lolita for about 1.5 years now, and this is the first time I have been able to attend our local meet. Pretty late, but better than never? :P I’d like to thank my waifu, Caz (seated, beside me in front), for organizing this one. I enjoyed talking to the other girls face-to-face, and everyone dressed well. :D
My outfit was inspired by more old-school sweet this time, back when prints weren’t all the rage. I think it turned out okay, though I’m sure someone out there will bash me for wearing the infamous maxi-pad headdress and fingerless lace gloves. XD

I decided to stray away from my usual sweet lolita and went for a darker, quieter wa lolita style. :D I’m so happy I got to work with Luisa as my photographer, and had Caz as my awesome makeup artist! ♥
I’ve heard that some girls actually advise new lolitas to avoid using black and white combinations, and I never understood why. Some say it’s because it makes them look like n00bs/newbies. I’ve always found this combination quite classy, and it looks good on most people, too.

I’m sure some of you are familiar with the famous - or infamous? - clothing brand, Moi-meme-Moitie. The signature colors are black and electric blue, I believe.
I took this shot a while back, while I was experimenting with clothes I could wear with Gothic Lolita Wigs' Strawberries & Cream 2G. Pardon the tired expression, but this is pretty much what the wig will look like against a Moitie-inspired color scheme. ♥
